Is there a subscription?

No. StrideMeter is a single one-time purchase. You pay once and own it — no recurring fees, no paywalled features, no ads.

What data do you collect?

As little as possible. There's no account and no sign-up. Your runs, routes, and history are stored on your device. We don't run analytics or advertising trackers. The only thing that leaves your phone is an approximate location sent to a weather service so your coach can react to the conditions — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Does it work in the background?

Yes. StrideMeter keeps tracking your route and your coach keeps talking when your screen is off or your phone is in your pocket — so you can run with music going.

What about Android?

StrideMeter launches on iOS first. Android is on the roadmap.

Is the coach AI talking to me live?

The coaching is built from a large library of professionally voiced lines that the app triggers based on what's happening in your run. It feels alive without sending your run to a server to be processed.

Can I run without the voice?

Of course. The coach can be turned off entirely, dialed down to sparse, or set to chatty — and you can switch personalities or shuffle all seven any time.
